Marion Mentor RISE Program Initiates Lasting Relationships Senior Buddy

On February 9th, Senior mentor Jesse Medlin and 5th grader, Luke Moxley, met for the first time when the L. K. Moss Elementary School 5th graders visited the Marion County High School to initiate the Marion Mentor RISE (Reflections Inspired by the Senior Experience) Program.

We would like to congratulate Marion County High School's Literary Team for their success in the recent Regional Literary Meet at Georgia Southwestern State University.

The student organizations from Marion County Middle/High School spearheaded a disaster relief drive to “Stuff the Bus” for our south Georgia neighbors who had been hit hard by the recent tornados and bad weather.

After a lengthy search that began in October, the Marion County Board of Education has named Mr. Glenn Tidwell as the finalist for Superintendent of Marion County Schools.

Called meetings to interview candidates for superintendent

The Marion County Board of Education will hold the following called meetings to interview candidates for superintendent.

BOARD MOVES FORWARD WITH SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH

The Marion County Board of Education continues to work on selecting a new Superintendent of schools.  Planning for the search began in October.

MCMHS Welcomes Parents and Partners Partners in Education

In a celebration of Thanksgiving, Marion County Middle/High School showed great appreciation for parents of students and for their Partners in Education by serving them a delicious holiday meal.  Parents were invited to eat with their children, and community partners enjoyed their lunch in the Eagle Room.
