Marion County Baseball

Old Timer’s Game and Homerun Derby

Marion County Baseball Team held its annual Old Timer’s Game and Homerun Derby last Saturday, February 12th. It was a beautiful day for baseball and we had many to come out and participate in the game. There were 30 “old timers” who came out to play in the game this year. Superintendent Ricky McCorkle threw out the first pitch of the game. The winners of the Homerun Derby were Hayden Gray-Middle School Division, Nick Hunter-High School Division, and Kenneth Christopher-Old Timer’s Division. The game was decided by just one run and was a very competitive game. Coach Jernigan would like to thank all who helped to make this a successful day.

The Eagles will be opening their season on February 21 with the Murray L. Smith tournament. Please come out and support your Eagles!
