Summer transition to new facility

At Marion County Middle/High School, we are in the final stages of completely moving to the new facility and it goes without saying that we are very excited. We really appreciate your patience in advance for helping us make the transition as smooth as possible. This, as you can imagine, is the most critical phase of the moving process.
During the week of July 9th, we will lose internet access and phone service for hopefully no longer than three – four days. However, you may call the Marion County Board of Education Office at 229-649-2234 and they will deliver your message to the office staff at MCMHS. Also, please keep in mind - during this time, the student records will be transferred to the new school. It may take an extended amount of time (beyond normal wait time) for you to pick up a transcript, ADAP, attendance for license, etc. An office staff member will be available at the school on Hwy. 30 from 7:30 – 5:00 during the week of July 9 – 12.

Beginning Monday, July 16th, all business will be conducted at the new middle/high school at 2232 GA Hwy. 41 North. Unless we have major issues, the phone lines, internet access, etc. will be completely restored. Again – we ask for your patience in advance.

Senior pictures will be taken Wednesday, July 11th in the cafeteria at the new school. The Georgia High School Graduation Tests (GHSGT) will be administered at the new school according to the following schedule: Monday, July 16th (8:00 – Social Studies, 11:00 – Math) and Tuesday, July 17th (8:00 – Language Arts, 11:00 – Science). The Georgia High School Writing Test (GHSWT) will be given Wednesday, July 18th at 8:00.

Students in grades 6 – 12 will be able to pick up their schedules, purchase lockers, parking passes, etc. for the 2012-2013 school term sometime late July. Please check the newspapers and school website for this information as it becomes available.

Again – THANK YOU, MARION COUNTY! As the transition to the new middle/high school is nearer completion, we thank you for your continued support.
