Chrissy Redmond speaks to classes.

MCHS students wrapped up Red Ribbon Week with a visit from Hope Harbour's Chrissy Redmond, who spoke to the high school career/tech and dual enrollment classes about dating violence.  Georgia is currently ranked #1 for dating violence among all 50 states.  Students participated in the interactive presentation while learning to recognize and avoid relational abuse.

Other Red Ribbon activities for the week, planned by Mrs. Megan Scott and FCCLA, included lunchtime drug and alcohol awareness activities and the signing of the Red Ribbon Week pledge by FCCLA officers.  Students were also able to make a pledge to remain drug free by signing a banner designed by the art class.  All students received a commemorative awareness bracelet that they could continue to wear.
