Did you know that Valentine’s Day is similar in many countries around the world?  The meaning, symbols, and traditions in countries like Mexico, Honduras, China, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic all revolve around the universal symbol of love.  Mrs. Sandy Goodroe’s 1^st grade students enjoyed learning about the different Valentine traditions and symbols around the world.  They ended the unit by making Valentines for their loved ones.
