Update and Information Regarding School Openings in Marion County: This week, Marion County’s L.K. Moss Elementary welcomed back Pre-K students. Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade will start on September 9th. The remainder of L.K. Moss students (grades 3-5) will go back to school on September 14th. Teachers and staff are excited to welcome back students and are encouraging safe hygiene practices. As long as the community spread in Marion County stays stable, grade levels at the Middle/High School will be able to return soon. Normally, the school system has tried to give a week to a week and ½ notice prior to bringing back grade levels. At this point, grade levels will be added in more quickly.
