“Teamwork makes the dreamwork.” New teacher Ashleigh Butler implements this quote in her Broadcast and Graphic Communication, Intro to Communication, and Intro to Graphics and Design classes. As an alumna of Americus High School, Mrs. Butler attended Georgia Southern University and graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education, majoring in recreation. Before teaching with Marion County, she worked for WRBL with clients and other personnel to create campaigns. While this year is Mrs. Butler's first year here at Marion County, she is also a first-year teacher. She says, "The staff and students have been very welcoming." Living in Marion County for eight years, she hasn't felt a part of the community until she started teaching here. Mrs. Butler has been married to Hamp, her husband, for six years and has two little girls, Collins and Hallen. She is excited to be a part of MCMHS with the ability to continue longstanding traditions, and we are so glad she’s here!
