SCHOOL COUNSELORS WEEK (FEBRUARY 6 - 10)
The 2023 theme is School Counselors: Helping Students Dream Big.
Every great success starts with a dream. The number one goal of our school counselors is to help you succeed. Whatever you need to be successful at school - whether it's learning how to stay motivated to complete your work, having positive relationships with your friends, helping yourself overcome barriers - your school counselors are here for you. Please participate in showing our counselors how much we appreciate them by exemplifying the daily characteristics below.
M - MINDFUL MONDAY
Before you snap back at someone when something doesn't go your way or perhaps you want to clip that cell phone that you found on the cafeteria table, be MINDFUL of the right thing to do.
T - TEAMWORK TUESDAY
It's time to show our thanks to the two who exemplify teamwork in all they do. Mrs. Melissa Jernigan and Mrs. Melissa Price . . . thank you!! These two are the epitome of what a school counselor should be. I'm very thankful they are part of our school . . . I hope you are too. Join me in showing them some extra love on this Teamwork Tuesday.
W - WORLD OF WORK WEDNESDAY
Focus on your tomorrow . . . whether it's school(WORK), college(WORK), work (job), etc. Put your whole heart into it. Reach out to one of the counselors if you need guidance. They are here to help you . . . and will go that extra mile to help you.
TH - THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY
Do something extra THOUGHTFUL for someone. Maybe it's a note of thanks or even a smile for someone you meet in the hallway. Go out of your way to be THOUGHTFUL and you will be the one to have a better day.
F - FRIENDSHIP FRIDAY
Be extra nice to your friends. They are your friends . . . go out of your way to put an extra smile on their face. Maybe even reach out to someone who may have moved that you don't have much contact with anymore. Friends are special . . . show them!!
