National School Nurse Day is a day for people to show appreciation for nurses who are serving in a school setting. May 12, 2021 was National School Nurse Day. The theme for this year was - Nurses: A Voice to Lead - A Vision for Future Healthcare.
Mrs. Annie Ruth Porter, LPN is a retired school nurse from LK Moss Elementary School who is always willing to lend a helping hand as our substitute nurse. She was honored with gifts to show her how much we appreciate all of her service at our school. As the saying above goes, “Nursing – More Than a Profession, It’s a Calling” portrays Nurse Porter in so many ways.
