Marion County FCCLA competed in the Region 7 STAR Events at Georgia Southwestern State University on Friday, February 6th.

Gold and advancing to state with a perfect score of 100%- Sami Kate Wright
Katie and Olivia’s project focused on Teens in the Driver seat, where they expressed the importance of avoiding distractions while driving, not driving while drowsy or under the influence.
Sami Kate’s project was on Repurpose and Redesign where she converted a pair of old discarded jeans into a beautiful Christmas stocking and vowed to donate a stocking for every 5 pair sold.
Baileigh and Abby competed in a chapter service project that included the Christmas lights and movie night hosted at MCMHS on Dec. 12 where the public was invited to join in on activities and The Grinch movie.
Alex and Jessenia competed in an event called Chapter in Review where they displayed all the amazing things the MCHS FCCLA did over the past school year.
