Homecoming Week for 2021 is September 20-24.  Marion will play ChattCo on the 24th at 7:30, and the Homecoming Queen will be crowned at halftime. 

 Dress-up days for Homecoming Week are: 

Monday—Alphabet Day (Dress as something that starts with the letter of your first name.   Example: Ann could dress like an apple or ant, etc.) 

Tuesday—Celebrity/Character Day 

Wednesday—Color Day 

  • 6th Purple 
  •  7th Orange 
  • 8th Green 
  •  9th Yellow 
  • 10th Blue 
  • 11th White 
  • 12th Black  Thursday—Mathletes (Nerds) vs Athletes Day  

Friday—Spirit Day 

 

The school will host a Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 25, from 7:30-10:00 p.m. in the gym.  The dance will be open to Marion County students in grades 9-12, but no outside guests will be permitted to attend.  The dress code for the dance is semi-formal. 

 

Students who have tested positive for COVID or who exhibit multiple symptoms will not be allowed to enter the dance.  Students who are quarantined for close contact and who chose to stay home during that time will not be permitted to enter.  Students who are quarantined for close contact and chose to attend school with nurse check-ins and mask must wear a mask to the dance. 

 

Advanced tickets will be sold, up to 250 students.  Once that maximum is reached, no more tickets will be sold.  Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased in the MCHS office beginning on September 8th.
