On Friday, April 15th, Marion County High School Scholars Academy members visited the Coca-Cola Space Science Center in Columbus, Georgia, followed by a tour of Columbus State University and a CSU Cougars baseball game. Forty-four students attended the trip, which featured both STEM enrichment and college planning opportunities. The counseling staff (Mrs. Melissa Jernigan and Mrs. Melissa Price) would like to thank Melissa Daughtry and Erin Roberts for assisting with chaperone duties; Bailey Brado from the CSU Admissions Office; and Dutch Cummings from the Coca-Cola Space Science Center, along with the cafeteria staff at MCHS and Mr. Jade Smith, the driver for the trip.
