2nd CANNED GOODS FUNDRAISER KICKOFF: Marion County High School CTAE organization is sponsoring this campaign which feed the communities. The dates for this campaign are October 15th-31st. One class per grade level that collects the most canned goods will get treats.

This year’s Fall Festival is coming. We will have tons of fun games and stations to visit. Some of the exciting things we will be offering are inflatables, popcorn, games, snacks and much, much more! Tickets will be 50 cents each. *We will begin selling tickets on Monday, Oct 25th. Fall Festival will be Friday, October 29th. Students will visit the festival during scheduled exploratory times during the day.
Parents will NOT be able to attend this event due to Covid restrictions.

Thursday Oct 28- "Wake up and choose to be drug free" Wear your Pajamas. (Wear appropriate shoes to school, pack slippers in bag to change into.)
Friday Oct 29- "Hocus Pocus, Drugs aren't our focus" Wear your Halloween costumes. (NO masks, wigs, buckets, or accessories)

Parents: Don't forget to join us at LK Moss's book fair this week. Parents can come with their student from 8-10 a.m. each day or 2-3:15 p.m. each day. Just enter through the cafeteria door and head straight to the gym. We also also staying open until 7 p.m. Thursday evening in case parents want to come browse after school hours. LK Moss Elementary School will conduct hearing and vision screening to students in Kindergarten thru 3rd grade on Monday, September 20th.
INTERNATIONAL DOT DAY 2021 at L. K. MOSS
On September 15, 2003, author and illustrator of children’s books, Peter H. Reynolds released his book “The Dot.”
One teacher in Iowa, Terry Shay, introduced the book to his entire classroom on September 15, 2009. This led to the observance of International Dot Day every year on September 15.
International Dot Day is celebrated by adults and children to boost their courage so that their creative potential is released. It is a great day to connect and collaborate, and to celebrate self-expression.
