Due to concerns related to weather and road conditions, Marion County Schools will be closed to students on Monday, March 16, 2026.
No students should report. Faculty and staff should report at 11 AM.

Applications for the Rhonda Jorden-Neal Legacy of Excellence Scholarship are available in the main office for the Class of 2026. The application is also available in Teams for all Seniors. Applications and materials are due Friday, April 10th with a mandatory lunch event and interviews to follow. For details, see Mrs. Jernigan.

Congratulations to Cash Jones on his acceptance to the University of South Carolina! He has also been accepted into their School of Music with a major in Musical Theatre.

Thank you to FFA member Troy Gallagher! Troy used his mechanic skills that he has learned through Ag involvement to assist a visiting bus driver. We are grateful for Troy's kindness and concern for others and for setting a great example.

Class of 2026, local scholarship applications are now available in your Teams account. Paper copies will be available in the front office if you prefer. All applications and supplemental materials are due to Mrs. Jernigan by March 20th at 3:00 p.m. unless otherwise specified in the application. Winners will be announced at Awards Night in May.

Valentine's Day is almost here!
The Marion County School System would like to make sure you are
able to send gifts to students should you choose to do so.
We will observe Valentine's Day for the school system on
Friday, February 13th. We ask that all items be delivered to Media Center at L.K. Moss and to the Gym at MCMHS between the hours of 8 AM and 12 Noon on Friday, February 13, 2026.
Please be sure to label the item with the student's name and the teacher's name
(PreK--8th grade: homeroom teacher / Grades 9-12: 4th block teacher).
As usual, if your child or teen is a bus rider, balloons must be the small kind with A
"stick". No large balloons or stuffed animals will be permitted on buses.
Also, please keep in mind that we are observing Valentine’s Day on a Friday
and school is also out for President’s Day the following Monday.
If you send something to a student who is absent on Friday,
it may be Tuesday before they receive it. The school is not responsible for the
condition of the items over that 3-day weekend.
